Stenciled Halloween Cookies

Halloween is quickly approaching and I squeezed in a few simple pumpkin cookies over the past few weeks.

While they are nothing "earth shattering", I do love how they came out.

Stenciled Pumpkin Cookies

Once again, I turned to my favorite cookie stencils, Simply Sweet Stencils.
For these pumpkins,  I chose THIS and THIS stencil.
How cute are these?

Stenciled Halloween Cookies

Have you ever tried to write
"Happy Halloween" on a 3 inch cookie?
It is not fun!  Thankfully there is a stencil for that!
I used THIS and THIS Stencil and they turned out perfectly!

Stenciled Halloween Cookies

Really...does it get any easier or cuter then this?

Stenciled Halloween Cookies

I know it it too late to order stencils for Halloween Cookies, but
Simply Sweet Stencils has stencils for all Occasions, so make sure you
check it out!

Until next time...Have a Safe and Happy Halloween!

Party in Your PJs #78

Welcome to Party in Your PJs!

Today is a big day at Party in Your PJs!  Today, we welcome not just one...or two..but THREE new co-hosts!  Bree and I are so excited to have them join us and we hope you will make them feel welcome.  Please take time to check out their blogs and social media pages. We are all still getting to know each other and work out any changes we might want to make to the party but for now, the party will continue as it always does only now we have FIVE hosts...how cool is that?

So...who are our new hosts?

First up is Heather of Woods of Belle Trees.

Heather is a wife of a peanut butter fanatic and mom of one silly humand and one furry canine, wrangling life on 2nd shift and glitterizing everything as she goes

Our Second new Co-Host is Lynda of Reviews, Chews & How-To's

Lynda lives outside DC with her husband Michael and elderly beagle, Sadie.  She and her daughter Jackie started RCHReviews as a way to spend time together in spite of living across county, and along the way they've added several friends as regular contributors.  Between them all, they bring together many different perspectives and lifestyles with one common philosophy  - Try new things, have fun and remember you are awesome!

Our Third new Co-Host is Nina from Grandma Ideas.

Nina is wildly in love with her grandchildren.  She delights in doing activities with them to strengthen their relationship, playing games, doing crafts, snuggling, reading stories to them and cooking together.  She enjoys reading, technology and traveling (Tahiti is her most favorite place on Earth)

I hope you all had a wonderful week...are you ready to party?

Ghost Cookies

So....Halloween is right around the corner...and I made some fun, cute, yet totally simple Halloween Cookies.  If you have followed my cookie journey over the years, you know that I am all about the Simple Cookie.  My cookie philosophy is..IT'S A COOKIE....A COOKIE THAT IS GOING TO BE EATEN....so while I want all my cookies to look cute and beautiful, I have no desire to spend hours and hours decorating them.

So...I always keep my cookies simple...and one way I do that is with STENCILS.  My best friend Melissa makes stencils...you can find her HERE.  Please check out her stencils, they are wonderful quality and I just LOVE them.

Ok...on to the cookies...I made ghosts and pumpkins, but today, I am only sharing the Ghosts with you!

Ghost Cookies

I used THIS stencil on a simple  ghost shaped cookie, but I think
it would also be wonderful on any shaped cookie.

Ghost Cookies

How adorable is this little ghost?  You can make one for yourself
using THIS stencil.

Ghost Cookies

Both designs together.  For both of the cookies, I flooded them with
white icing, then when they were completely dry, I stenciled on the
design using a very stiff icing.  So simple....anyone can do it.

Why not give stencils a try sometime?  They are a real time saver and they
help you quickly create beautiful cookies.
